Specialist Dementia Care at Holmer Manor Care Home
Holmer Manor Dementia Care Home takes great pride in our team of highly experienced carers with specialised training and knowledge in dementia care.
Our staff are understanding of challenges that come from living with dementia and are very aware of the effects it may have not just on the residents themselves but also their families. Our dementia care services are provided by carers who have been given in-depth, highly specific training in many aspects of specialist Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and have experience with caring for residents with complex and challenging needs.
Holmer Manor specialist dementia care home is a comfortable, peaceful and welcoming environment with a relaxed home from home feel. Our extensive facilities are spread across two easily accessible floors. We have created a number of rooms, facilities and services suitable for those with dementia, such as an enclosed sensory garden, stimulative interactive areas, a memory room, soft toys and seating areas.
Holmer Manor Private Care Home has a number of fidget boards around the home, offering stimulation and comfort for those living with dementia, and we also provide a wide range of activities tailored to the specific wishes and capabilities of each resident. Holmer Manor has a close relationship with a therapy dog who visits the residents on a weekly basis, as well as a hairdresser and an aromatherapist.
Many care homes providing advanced dementia care can appear too clinical, unwelcoming and sterile, which is why we have made it our aim to create a welcoming family environment with such a relaxed atmosphere. We want each of our residents (and their families) to be happy and free of any stress or worries whilst they are in our care, and we aim to deliver the best holistic care to every single person.
